(5)Adverbs - ကြိယာ ဝိသေသန

adverb ဆိုတာ verb , adj , advအချင်းချင်း တွေကို အထူးပြုတဲ့ စကားလုံးတွေ

adverbs တွေက တစ်စုံတစ်ခု ဘယ်လိုဖြစ်တယ် (or) တစ်စုံတစ်ယောက်က တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို ဘယ်လိုလုပ်တယ်ဆိုတာကို ပြောပြတယ်

1. ကြိယာကို အထူးပြုပေးတဲ့စကားလုံးများ

Eg : Mg Mg speaks carefully.

               Kyaw Kyaw always arrives early.

2. adjective ကိုလည်း လေးနက်စေတယ် ၊ အထူးပြုပေးတယ် 

         Eg : Ni Ni is very beautiful.

                The weather is terribly hot.

adverb အချင်းချင်းလည်း အထူးပြု

*များသောအားဖြင့် adverb တွေက -ly နဲ့ အဆုံးသတ်ပေမယ့် -ly ပါတိုင်း adverb မဟုတ်ပါ။

1. Adverb of time / time adverb

Adverb of place တွေက when(ဘယ်အချိန်)ကလဲဆိုတဲ့ မေးခွန်းကိုဖြေပေးပါတယ်။

on Sundays တနင်္ဂနွေနေ့တွေမှာ ,yesterday, today , tomorrow ,1996 , century , long time , on sunday , on weekends , recently , last year , all day(တစ်နေကုန်) , for a week(တစ်ပတ်) , since (ကတည်းက) , for several century (ရာစုနှစ်အတော်ကလေး)

several ( 3 to 7 ကိုပြော)

Eg :   Mg Mg visited us yesterday.

         Have you seen Ni Ni today?

        I'm going to Thailand tomorrow.

        I recently bought a new car.

        I saw this movie last year.

        I have been learning English since 1996.

2. Adverb of manner / manner adverb - အမူအရာပြ

- Adverb of manner တွေက how (ဘယ်လိုလဲ) ဆိုတဲ့‌မေးခွန်းကို ဖြေပေးပါတယ်။

Eg : Do it carefully.

        Ma Ma plays piano beautifully. / terribly.

        He quickly/slowly left the room.

        He swims well.

        They all worked hard.

        She usually arrives late.

        I hate driving fast.

        She easily passed the exam.

3. Adverb of place / place adverb - နေရာပြ

Adverb of place တွေက where(ဘယ်နေရာ)လဲဆိုတဲ့ မေးခွန်းကိုဖြေပေးပါတယ်။

there , here , inside , outside , upstairs , nearby , downstairs , between , among(2ယောက်ထပ်ပိုရင်သုံး) , in the middle , next to, near , behind , in front of  , indoor , outdoor , everywhere ,.....

Eg : When we arrived there , it started to rain.

        She lives downtown and works nearby.

        You go upstairs and do your homework!

        Mg Mg lived and worked abroad.

        among the Burmese people .

        You should wait outside.

        There are pagodas everywhere in Bagan.

4. Adverb of Degree - အဆင့်တွေကို ဖော်ပြ 

-very , a little , rather , extremly(အလွန်အကျွံ) , so , too,excessively(အဆမတန်), almost , absolutely , awfully , badly , barely , completely , decidedly, deeply, enough, enormously, entirely, extremely, fairly , far, fully, greatly, hardly, highly, how, incredibly, indeed, intensely, just, least, less, little, lots, most, much, nearly , perfectly, positively, practically, pretty, purely, quite, rather, really, scarcely, simply, so, somewhat, strongly, terribly, thoroughly, too , totally, utterly, very, virtually, well

Eg : It's rather cold , isn't it?

        The coffee is too hot to drink now.

        The house is a little expensive.

        This cake is absolutely wonderful.

5.Adverb of frequency - အကြိမ်ပြ

-အကြိမ်အရေအတွက် အတိအကျ ၊ ဘယ်လောက်ဆိုတဲ့ ပမာဏပါပြ 

တစ်ခုခုကို ခဏခဏ လုပ်တယ် , တစ်ကြိမ်သွားဖူးတယ် , အမြဲတမ်း , ဘယ်တော့မှ

* အလုပ်တစ်ခုကို ဘယ်လောက်များများလုပ်သလဲဆိုတာ ပြတာ

generally , almost always, nearly always, hourly , Now and then  , every now and then, every now and again , hardly ever, scarcely, never, almost never  , sometimes  , typically , frequently, infrequently  , often  ,Continually , Intermittently  , Occasionally , Constantly , Once in a while, Daily , weekly, Monthly , Annually, Yearly, Periodically   , Regularly , Nightly , once a minute, once an hour, once a day, once a month, twice a year, once, twice, thrice (three times), continuously, fortnightly, on Mondays, on weekdays, on weekends, once in a lifetime, from time to time , once in a blue moon

every + noun (singluar) =>every second, every day , every month, every year

every Sunday = on Sundays (တနင်္ဂနွေနေ့တိုင်းမှာ)

normally, usually, always = များသောအားဖြင့်

Seldom , hardly, rarely = မလုပ်သလောက်ရှားပါး 

 တခါတလေ =>

• once in a while 
• sometimes
• every now and then
• every so often
• every now and again
• occasionally
• from time to time

eat in - အိမ်မှာစားသည်

eat out - အပြင်ထွက်စားသည် / ဆိုင်မှာစားသည်

Eg : I am always losing my keys.

        I go to the cinema once a week .

        She takes these tablets twice a day.

        I change the sheets once a fortnight.( once a fortnight(14ရက်တစ်ကြိမ်) = နှစ်ပတ်တစ်ကြိမ်) 

        We meet him several times a year.

        We go to the beach once in a while. (once in a while = တခါတလေ)

        Once in a while,we go to the beach.

        She drinks wine every now and again.

        I always go to bed before 10 p.m.
